The original Cheltenham Branch was formed some 55 years ago.
In 2005 the name was changed to the Gloucestershire Branch in order to have a wider appeal to members living in the County and surrounding areas.
Membership is open to all serving and non serving Grenadiers, also to any member of the Household Division.
Anyone who has served in any of Her Majesty's Armed Forces may make application to join.
The branch is very active arranging many and varied events endeavouring to cater for all tastes.
One of the strong features of the branch is its dedication to the welfare of its members.
John Leighton, the son of Branch Member David Leighton, runs a computer business called desktopIT, which offers a full range of services including virus and malware removal, custom built computers, upgrades, data recovery, wired & wireless networking, broadband and also website design.
Work can be undertaken at the customer’s home or office whenever convenient or, alternatively taken away and repaired off-site if preferred. A remote assistance service for troublesome PCs and laptops is also available.
The main strength of desktopIT has been developing cost effective upgrades for slow under performing machines to give them a new lease of life where possible and so avoid a costly replacement. Above all, John seeks to provide a professional personal service to his customers whilst delivering excellent value for money.
If your computer is not performing as well as it should, perhaps it’s time you gave John a call on 07985 292995.
